2008 FALL FOOTBALL 

Extended registration for the 2008 Fall Season closes soon. PSA offers both tackle and flag football programs. The leagues are formed by grade. Last year over 1200 participants made PSA the largest fall football program in North Texas!

Tackle Football

• Individual Player Registration Fee:  $116
• Team Fee:  $1,900 (minimum 15 players)

Schedule of Events

• Mon, 7/28:  Returning team rosters due.
• Wed, 8/13:  Extended registration closes.
• Sat, 8/16 @ PSA Center:
• Player Weigh-in - 9am - 2pm
• Tackle Coaches Clinic - 2:30 - 4pm
• Mandatory Coaches Meeting - 4pm
• Final Rosters Distributed
• Practice Areas Assigned 
• Sun, 8/17:  Preseason contact practices begin @ Highpoint Park (see schedule below).
• Wed, 8/27:  Final Player Weigh-in @ Highpoint Park 7 - 9pm.
• Tue, 9/1:  Regular season practices begin.
• Sat, 9/6:  Regular season games begin.
• Mon, 10/27:  Playoffs begin for all leagues.  Every team qualifies for the playoffs.
• Sat, Nov 8:  Super Bowl for all leagues @ Clark Stadium.

Preseason Contact Practice Schedule:  Teams may conduct contact practices at Highpoint Park during the preseason as follows:

• Week 1 (4 Practices MAX)
• Sun, 8/17:  5-7pm
• Tue, 8/19:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
• Wed, 8/20:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
• Thu, 8/21:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
• Week 2 (3 Practices MAX)
• Tue, 8/26:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
• Wed, 8/27:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
• Thu, 8/28:  6-8pm OR 6:30-8:30pm

Regular Season Practice Schedule:  This season, PSA is introducing a more flexible regular season practice schedule.   Teams may practice at their discretion a maximum of twice a week for 2 hours per practice on any nights Monday thru Thursday.  Please note the following when setting your practice schedule

• Highpoint Park is not available on Monday nights.  If you elect to practice on Monday, you will need to find an alternate location (cannot be another "City" park).
• Some leagues may have games scheduled on Wednesday nights.  If a game is scheduled on your assigned practice field, you may need to find another spot at Highpoint to conduct your practice.   
• All scrimmages must be conducted against other PSA teams.  PSA rules prohibit scrimmaging teams from any other organizations.  There are no exceptions.
• Any teams found to be conducting illegal practices will have their remaining practice schedule set by the Football Board.

Leagues and Ball Carrying Weight Limits

• 2nd Grade    75 lbs
• 3rd Grade     85 lbs
• 4th Grade     100 lbs
• 5th Grade     115 lbs
• 6th Grade     130 lbs

All players must be weighed by league officials at a designated time and place in order to be eligible to carry the ball.  Each coach is responsible for ensuring that all of his players have officially weighed in.  There are no exceptions.

Flag Football
